Monthly Astrology Update For March, 2019

March 6 through March 28th, Mercury, the planet of communication, the mind, travel, and communication devices(phones, computers, etc) is retrograde in the ethereal Water sign of Pisces. This is a time of slowing down and regrouping our ideas. Mercury retrograde is not a good time for starting new relationships, businesses, or taking long distance trips.(Sorry for those of you already traveling, just be extra diligent with baggage, transportation, and travel communications). Mercury retrograde in Pisces brings a time of deep spiritual re-evaluation. We want to allow more time to get to our destinations as Pisces is a very dreamy and imaginative sign and can get easily distracted. We all need down time now to dream our dreams and to sleep more, and to use our imaginations to focus on what we are grateful for, to be more forgiving of ourselves and others and to otherwise let go of unneeded emotional, spiritual as well as physical baggage. With the Sun conjunct Neptune on the New Moon in Pisces on March 6, we all need time for spiritual renewal, rejuvenation as well as imagination, creativity, music, and any forms of meditation, prayer, and spirituality. Use this powerful New Moon to focus on what area of life you need to have more compassion for yourself and others.

The Sun will be in this last Water sign of the Zodiac until March 20, when the Sun enters the First sign of the Zodiac,Aries. March 20th is a very potent day as it is also Spring Equinox, bringing balance back to our planet with equal day and night. It also is a full Moon with the Moon at 0 degrees Libra opposite the Sun at 0 degrees of Aries.
This is a very powerful time of new beginnings. With a very harmonious and powerful trine that day between Mars in Determined and patient Taurus and Pluto in ambitious Capricorn, we can get much done on the practical plane.
On March 6, we also have Uranus, the planet of freedom, friendship, liberation and awakening, moving into the Fixed Earth sign of Taurus for the next 7 years. This will bring great changes in regards to food, our tastes, our pleasures,our money, our values, our voices(Taurus rules the throat), our material possessions. Now is a great time for Spring Cleaning with all this energy of clearing out and releasing .
